Busier than a one armed paper hanger, and accomplishing about as much. But it has been fun most of the time. We have been to dinners, lunch's, and if breakfast wasn’t usually in the morning we would have done those too. The other night some friends took us to one of their favorite Mexican restaurants, we had tried a few that were not very good, but this one was amazing. The only bad thing, I was having some blood work done the next day, and there was to be no liquor for 24 hours before.
We finally got our frig fixed. Have been running it on gas since September. There are several mobile repair services that are in the park, but business was so good that they were booked for a couple of months. And ours was not an emergency as we still had refrigeration. We have a extended warranty, 200 dollar deductible, and the bill was just under that, guess I shouldn’t complain.
Those of you who have not been to Jojoba Hills, it is located in very hilly, rocky country, that has few residents. On the way to town, 3 miles from our entrance, is a small gas station/bar/restaurant. Ever since ( first of November) we have been here, diesel was priced at 4.30. Even when in town where it went down to 3.98, for a very short time, it stayed the same till the other day. Monday it rose to 4.68 and the very next day it was at 4.80. In Temecula it is around 4.25 to 4.35. Now I know why unemployment is going down, everyone had to hire 1 person whose job, and only job, it is to change the prices….hourly. California is so much more expensive, but I love the weather, love being 40 miles from the beach, no humidity, and on and on. Thankfully Jojoba has managed to ensure that the monthly maintenance is very affordable.
We have finally firmed up plans to make a run to Yuma, for a week or so, leaving Monday. Thought we could get away sooner, but there is a street party Sunday and we decided that we wanted to attend. We have just about got our outside area all done, even to the point of having furniture.
Just wanted to get a post on the blog, as I’m sure that it will be a while before I get another chance. And to let everyone know “We are still here”.
Life is Good
MY TRAVELS
I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with
someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to
be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my
friends, family and work. I live close so it's a short drive.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not
too much on physical activity anymore.
I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to
visit there too often.
I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.
One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the
adrenaline flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all
the stimuli I can get!
And, sometimes I think I am in Vincible but life shows me I am not.
People keep telling me I'm in Denial but I'm positive I've never been
there before!
I have been in Deepsh*t many times; the older I get, the easier it is
to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there.
So far, I haven't been in Continent; but my travel agent says I'll be
going soon.
Wishing you all safe travels
