Happy Birthday, Anthony

Nana and Po love you more!!!!

Oh, Lonesome Me

Yes, that is me, lonesome. We decided that it was time to empty the storage unit in California and move it out to Colorado. We will never return to live in California, if there will even be a California in the future. May have to sell it to China. Anyway Chuck and John, (our son-in-law) flew back on Tuesday, picked up a truck, loaded it, Chuck ran around and seen a lot of ole friends, and are on their way back already. That is one boring drive, so do not envy them one bit. But do envy the fact that they were there for our grandsons, Anthony's 10th birthday. That would have been very special. And to give our son a big get well hug. He had his hard cast put on Tuesday and it will be a good two months of that. Bummer.
I've just been taking things easy, did a little deep cleaning, read a few books, spent some time with my daughter, although she is really busy. Which is good, and don't want to take her away from that. We did go yesterday and get pedicures and I even had nails put on. Been having so much trouble with my finger nails that I finally bit the bullet and had it done. Not only now will I have to take my chances getting my hair cut, but having nails to deal with too.
This weekend is Frontier Days in Old Colorado City. It is a fun time, they close off the main street and it is full of vendors of all kinds. Lots of crafts and food. Entertainment all over, it is great fun, and our campground is close enough that we can walk to everything. Which is great, parking is not that easy. Actually might be able to rent out a few places in our campsite....LOL
No pictures as the camera went with Chuck, and hopefully it will be loaded when he gets back. Expect them back tomorrow, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. All is good, till next time.

Jello Melting

John cooking the first steaks
of the season.
Have a week to catch up on here. We have not been doing much of anything, had a wonderful cook out the other night at our daughter house. Other than taking in a movie, Girlfriends Past, or what ever it was called. It was pretty good actually. Been a long time since we have been to the movies, so it was a treat.
We are planning on attending a Escapade rally here in Colorado next month. Looking forward to that, it will be small, which makes it much easier to trade "shop talk". The big rally was not what we had expected.
The forecast was for rain this past weekend, so Matilda was all for showing off her designer rainwear. Notice the shadow on the tree.....she did not get wet.

Matilda falls in love. I've always loved this bird too, sets off to the side of our daughters back deck.

After reading some of the blogs this morning, have come to the conclusion that May must be medical month. Could be the surge of upset stomachs that April 15th gives most us us? That is what we did yesterday also. We had physicals done in the Rio Grande Valley this past winter so that had already been taken care of. First started off was the optometrist, who I will say was one of the best that we have ever seen. Unfortunately, I found out that new glasses were not what I needed, but cataract surgery. So even though they are trying to rush it, it looks like the earliest that I can get started is June 2nd. We are hoping for a cancellation by someone to get in sooner. Chuck gets by with new glasses. From there it was off to see a highly recommended cardiologist, as Chuck and I were both dissatisfied with the one he had seen this winter. All checked out there so we were very happy as it had been a worry. Being as we have not been back to California for two years, we have been forced to find new doctors as we go down the road. Actually we have not had a problem, and any of our prescriptions have been transferred with no problem. But that is now, scary to think of it all changing, the goverment has never changed any thing and made it better. But then that is my thought and not sure it is the place to go. Might have to get some meds for the high blood pressure that it will bring on.
That is all for now, life is good.

Family & Colorado

Kissing Camels in the Garden of the Gods, with Pike's Peak in the background. As you can see by the snow it is not all that warm here. At least it has not snowed on us yet, and the weather has gone back and forth the week we have been here.
Hope that Mothers Day was a special treat for all. It certainly was for me. The day was spent with our daughter, Cyndi and her husband, John, and we were joined by our grandson, Robert, and his family. We did brunch and had told the kids about "eggs in a bag" and they decided it would be fun to try. We had an excellent head chef. Here is Roinn, (our great-grandson), he wrote all the names on the bags, and then scrambled the eggs once they were in the bags. He was concentrating so hard on doing a good job. Everyone was surprised at what a great and easy way to do omelets. Thanks Molly! Kylee, with her mom, Kerstin, watching big brother working away.

Kylee with her "walker"....she is not
comfortable to try walking on her own yet.
This is a lawn mower and she did mow
a lot of grass yesterday.
It was great spending the day with family, the last few years we have been on the road, and had to make do with phone calls. Our son & his family
in California, had to do the phone thing. He is doing fairly good, had a bad accident, the ligaments holding his knee cap in place snapped, and it went half way up his thigh. They did surgery Wednesday and he is in a soft cast that they will change to a hard one this week. Then if all goes well he will be in that for six weeks. His poor wife is really having a hard time trying to do it all and more, plus she just started a new job. Hopefully he will be better once he gets the cast on.

Hello May

Been a few days since I've sat down and posted, so back to day one missed. Thursday we played golf out in the middle of no where, about 30 miles from Santa Fe. Awesome course, the contrast between the surrounding area made it even more so. We played with a couple of guys who worked there, and they were a big help in telling us where the trouble was, and it was all over! I tend not to play as much golf as Chuck anymore, but when the course is exceptional I love taking in all the beauty, serenity, (except for the blue air when a shot goes array) and not let playing golf get the way.

Friday we went to old town Santa Fe, where I had the Loretto Chapel lorettochapel.com at the top of my must see list. What a thrill that was. I was just totally blown away, hard to put it in words the feelings I had, and Chuck felt the same way. The chapel is now owned privately and run for profit. Cost of three dollars per person, and well worth it.We traipsed around town for a short time in some of the shops, but full timers just can't buy too many things, but there were some gorgeous pieces of the Indian/Mexican art. Of which I'm not a big fan of, none the less wonderful. From there we were off to Museum Hill. We did a couple of them but we were ready for a late lunch early dinner. Had seen this roadhouse near the campground that always had a full parking lot, so we decided to give it a try. The food was good, but think it was the bar that was the big draw. Although we left there full and happy.
We had planned to leave Saturday, but after checking the weather on both ends we decided to wait a day. Which proved to be a good choice as Sunday was the perfect day to travel. No wind what so ever, traffic was light, and we actually got 11.7 mpg, which we were happy with. Actually with us just getting there and putting down the jacks without any problems is a great day.
We are now settled in Colorado Springs for a month. Our campground is right in Old Colorado City, which makes it nice and close to everything including our daughter, who is only about six blocks away. Our back window over looks Fountain Creek, with plenty of trees and squirrels to drive the cat crazy. There are also two ducks that must have a nest near by and they are a kick. They ride the rapids (?, well swift moving water, rapids is a little strong) down aways and then come back and do it again. They are so cute.
Sunday night, after we got settled, we had a nice dinner at our daughter house. We were celebrating our son-in-laws belated 50th birthday. Great seeing the whole family, and our great grand babies grew so much since we last seen them in August. For some reason, my camera got left in the RV so will have to get some picture from the kids.
This brings me up to date, so think I'll just watch the ducks and squirrels today.

Good By Albuquerque

Sunday night we had dinner with friends Bill & Dawn, who were our neighbors in Mission this past winter. Bill works with Camping World as a traveler, he goes where he is needed, and so far he is happy with it. Dinner was at a Winery and Bistro. Food was wonderful and the wine wasn't bad either.

Monday we started the day with a late breakfast at the Route 66 Diner. It was like stepping back in time, even the waitresses were dressed in 50's uniforms. From there we went out to see the petroglyphs. It was quite interesting, but we were told that it had all been staged years ago, although the rocks were original. Hmmm, you think?
From there we were off to see the tent rocks. They were very interesting, we had never even heard of them. The bad part was getting there, we had 5 miles of washboard, dusty, bad, road to manage our way over. But that was not enough for us, (probably all that jarring shook something loose in the noggin) we decided to do another 4 miles to a Veteran Memorial overlook. Now this was over a goat path through cow pastures, but it was worth it.

So glad that we made the teeth jarring trek. Back on the paved road there was a sign for a golf course so of course had to check it out. And it was a wonderful surprise, it was absolutely gorgeous. It is rated one of the "must play"courses for 2008. So we made tee times for Thursday.
Today was kick it on down the road day. Pretty easy, 65 miles, we are in a nice campground, lots of pine trees and all. Had only planned to stay 2 nights, but guess we will stretch that out a day or two. Santa Fe looks to be a pretty nice town, so want to see some of it.
Life is good, blue sky, warm breeze.

Old Town & the 10 Dollar Taco

Yesterday we went back to old town, which is a very charming area. Lots of little shops and courtyards. Music everywhere, just a fun place for women. not too sure that Chuck (or any man) would list it as a must do. But Chuck was a great trooper. The cafe we stopped to eat in did put a chink in the day though. Chuck, not seeing what he wanted on the menu, asked if it was possible to have just a flour taco and enchilada. No problem, but when the check came, there was a charge of 7 dollars for each and a 3 dollar up charge for the flour taco. I had a taco salad at a cost of 6.50. So go figure. Being as these were only listed as combination dinners, his order was considered a special order, therefore the charge was reasonable. Only if you were not the one being charged!

Golf was on the schedule the other day, and that is where Chuck is now, as I write. He is playing in a tournament, and it was open to women, but I decided that I would skip this one. I have not been playing as much as I should to keep my game up and when I have to be on a team, afraid that I won't hole up my end. Glad that I didn't play as the wind is really gusting. At least it is nice and warm.
Wednesday we are leaving for Santa Fe for a few days, and then on to Springs. I'm ready for some new scenery. Want trees and mountains. Anyone wondering about Matilda (my pink flamingo) she is in hiding. Her outfit for this time of year is a yellow raincoat and hat, which just would not work here. But she has a great 4th of July costume to be sure, so there will be no hiding her then.

Till the next time, or if life gets real exciting and there is something to blog about.........

What a Difference a Day Makes

Just a little gathering......

Oh, it is truly a beautiful day, the sunshine is wonderful. The "blizzard" surely couldn't possibly have taken place. We had a very nice day at the vendor rally yesterday, it was casino day for
Coast to Coast. What a blast. Play all the high stakes blackjack or poker, and if you lost your chips they would give you more at the next table. The point was for every 50 dollars you won they gave you a ticket, good for 3 drawings during the day. Prizes were good and the grand prize was a 10 day princess cruise. No winners here. Entertainment was okay and the balloon glow, fabulous. They are so pretty at night.
We left the Rally 1 day early, and moved back to the camp ground at the base. Think we will stay here till the first of the month. From what we hear Colorado got more snow this last week than they had all winter. So we will just play the tourist a bit, get in some golf and relax.

Bring On Global Warming, Please

What is it with this weather? Thursday we took the bus, not once but twice to the vendor area. The first time was fairly easy, but the second time was a nightmare. We were in a line well over two blocks long, and the buses were very far and few. Took us two hours to get back to the RV. Yesterday, Chuck and I played in the golf tournament. We had a great couple on our team and had a wonderful time playing with them. But..... the weather, it was so cold and we actually had snow flurries. We were just hanging on to get done, looking forward to a nice hot lunch. And it just gets better....they were feeding us outside! I was so cold and shaking so bad that it was impossible to eat. Our team did come in first, and we got 60 dollars in gift certificates to be spent in the pro shop. I got a cute headcover and Chuck got a vest. All in all we were lucky cause the people that went to the vendors at the rally, had a 2-3 hour wait, and by then it was raining. You would have to look really hard to find a "happy camper" here. We made the trip this morning again, and made a few just got to have purchases. One that makes me feel better is the tire monitoring system. From what we hear, people who have been to other Rallys say that they have never seen it in two separate locations like this.
Life goes on, we shall all look back at this some day and laugh. But don't see it happening in the near future.
Update on the fan for those who thought the slides may have come in contact. Actually they
are about 12 inches below the blades. Going to post it on the Montana site and see if we are the only one, or if some one solved the how and why.

Rally time and the Fan Goblins Struck Again

Well we moved to the Balloon Fiesta park. Sort of disappointed with the set up. The RV's are parked here, along with the entertainment tent. All the vendors and seminars are at the fair
grounds which are about 12 miles away. Granted they have very nice, large buses running back and forth, but it is not like being at the rally site. Now for the big mystery.....the broken blade on the ceiling fan. This happened about a year ago, when not one but two blades broke in half while we were traveling. Ended up replacing the whole system and it was fine until today, when once again one of the blades broke in half on the move here. Last time we had gone over some very rough roads and sort of thought some how, some way. But this time we only came ten miles and they were very smooth, no bumps, nada. Yet there was the blade broke in half. Talked to the RV dealer and he had no idea how it could have happened, never heard of it before. So there must be a "fan"tastic devil hid some place here that only comes out when we are headed for a rally as the last time was on our way to Branson for the RV Dreams rally.
Balloon Fiesta Park
just over the hill
They are expecting 2500 RVs here, so that is a lot, and they seem to have it very well organized, lots of volunteers. We had sort planned to do that, but they required 25 hours per person, so that worked out to 5 hours a day, and we just did not think being as this is our first big rally, that we wanted to split our time and energy that much. Besides the reimbursement was at a rate of 4 dollars an hour. So we will look forward to learning a lot, there are quite a few seminars that we are very interesting in attending. Till next time.

Happy Easter

No chocolate bunnies, no colored eggs, cheezz, what's up?
We are just in holding pattern, waiting for the Rally next week. We are leaving here to move to the rally camp site on Wednesday. The sites are electric only, but because Chuck had a handicap sticker we will have a site close to the main area. The campground here has been full since last night, and being as they do not take reservations, there have been people arriving all day to be turned away. Feel sorry for them as we hear that the campgrounds around here are also full. We will probably come back here after the rally for a few weeks, as they just had another snow storm in Colorado Springs, and we want no part of that. We will be spending a few days in Santa Fe as there are a few places that we would like to see.
Roinn, greatgrandson, hunting eggs in Colorado Springs.

Robert, our grandson and our great granddaughter, Kylee
Looking forward to the Rally, it sounds like it will be really big, with hundreds of vendors and a lot of the seminars sound very interesting. This will be our first Rally of this size that we will be attending. Hopefully we won't find too many things that we can't live without....LOL So that has been our exciting life the last week, we have been out looking over the town, but have not been eating out all that much either. Got to get rid of some of the food that we brought down to the valley 5 months ago. And I need to hon up on my cooking skills.

Good-By Texas, Hello Aliens,Raining Mud & Real Wind

Matilda in her
Easter outfit
Spent the day touring Carlsbad Caverns, and it was total awesome. We had toured it 40 years ago, but the memory had faded, so it was like we had never done it. The bats won't be back till late next month, but even though it would have been great to see them we were not disappointed. Having the Golden Age pass really paid off as everything was free. And free is good!
We left Carlsbad April 3rd and decided to make a run for Albuquerque. as the wind predictions were dire. Took some pictures along the way, and if anyone made lemonade out of lemons, it is Roswell, after the air force base closed there. They have the aliens.

Once we passed through Roswell the scenery was
not a wow factor.
And 100 miles down the road.

At least the road was straight, so we could catch a nap.

The wind really picked up before we were at the park, had about 50 miles of it, and it was scary, but not nearly as bad as after we were settled. We are at Kirkland Air Force base camp ground, which is very nice. Planning on staying here till the Rally which starts on the 15th. Back to the wind......during the night it was rocking and rolling the RV, and then it rained for a few minutes. Well, come morning we found it had rained MUD. What a mess, but the good news it was mainly on one side. The bad new it is still cold.

Today we toured the area, getting to know the streets and all. Found Camping World, or it found us. And they have casinos here, so we had to pay our dues. Spending all that time in Texas saved some money.

So that is it for now, jacks are down, life is good.

On the Road Again

Yesterday we left the Buckhorn Lake RV park in Kerrville, and lo and behold just a few miles down the road we encountered 6 vans, and 3 trucks, all with Verizon logos on them. MY PEOPLE, were looking for me! And there I was going in the other direction. This was one of the few places that our cell service was so poor.
We had planned to drive to Fort Stockton which was about 250 miles, but Chuck was feeling great, so we just hung a right on 285 and pushed on to Carlsbad. The last 30 miles were a little scary though as the wind came up and was horrendous. But we made it and settled in at the Carlsbad RV park for a couple of days. Today we will do the caverns and look over the town, then trek on to Roswell. We lived there for almost 3 years and will be trying to find the house we owned. That is if it still standing. Hated every day we lived there, can't believe we are actually going back willingly....LOL We got a taste of the wind and the dust storms yesterday. Somethings are meant to be forgotten, and that was one of them.
This morning the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the wind is gone. Gotta love it.

Now There Are Two

Everyone but us and the Kendalls have left Kerrville, and we are both leaving Wednesday. Today we spent stocking up on Opa's sausage and cheese and butter from the Amish market, had to put off till tomorrow Bar-B-Q from Billies, because they are closed on Mondays. We probable could eat for a month of what we have stockpiled, it is like they don't have stores any place we are going. We will be going through Roswell, New Mexico, where we actually lived for a few years way back when. Came there from Orlando, and at the time I truly did not know there was a place that desolate this side of the moon. From there we will be making our way to Albuquerque for the rally. Want to go very slowly as the weather does not seem to be getting any warmer up north.

Life is good, the wind has died down, the sun is shining....WOW

Out of sight but not forgotten

I was so busy stealing my last blog from Deb, that I forgot to mention some of our dear friends, Sandy and Gary Turzak, from California who stopped by Kerrville for a too short a visit. It was so good to see them, it has been almost 2 years since we have been back to California. Miss all the great friends that we have back there, and it seems like we are in a different place now. Our friends are scattered all over the states, which is great. Just that everyone is mobile and on the move. Love what we are doing, but there are times you miss the ole life too. Guess that why memories are so great. And that is what we are doing now, building memories.

Sandy in Luckenbach

Tonight the "three musketeers" (Rod & Deb, Nolan & Donna & Chuck and I,-- looks like SIX to most people I"m sure) went back to the 11th Street Bar in Bandera. Which is the cowboy capitol of the world and biker friendly. Bring your own steaks and booze, no clean-up, works for me. Not nearly as crowded as two weeks ago. We met Jimmie and Ester who are in the area for a few more days, we will not be seeing them again as we are going in different directions in a few days.

Luckenbach, 11th Street Bar, Thanksgiving, & Byes

I know it's time for an update. We've been in Kerrville for almost three weeks and I've only updated once. We've just been so busy with all the people who are here. Some of our friends have already left and we sure do miss them but I know they're having a good time wherever they are. In fact, next week we're going to invade Bob & Molly's campground for a visit. They left us 10days ago to join their group of friends down the road in Boerne. Keith & Donna left two weeks ago as did Jim & Ellie and Glenn & Sylvia. If you click on any of those names you can read their versions of the time we've been having. Some people update every single day but not me. I
try for once a week, but since we have been here my air card is not pulling in the signal that I need to get on the Internet, so it is make do. Lots of this post is stolen from Deb. Well, we are almost the only ones left and she has been posting and basically doing the same thing as us, works for me......
Last Wednesday we to dinner with Rod & Deb in Bandera. There's this place called the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. On Wednesdays you bring your own meat to grill and pay $4 for your sides. Sounded like fun and and we met up with some of the people that we had met in Mission this winter. Great seeing them again. The Bar was a kick, loud and full. Tacked to the ceiling there were bras, all colors, all sizes, thankfully there were no takers hanging theirs while we were there.

Well we are into week three now, most of our friends have left us here in Kerrville. The only ones left are Rod and Deb, Donna & Nolan and us. We sure do miss everybody but we've been having a good time anyway. Other than a big part of the second week here when it was colder than cold and lots of rain, which they really needed here, the weather has been great. Not as warm as it was down south though.
Thursday we loaded up the truck with Rod and Deb, chairs, food and jackets for our trip down to Boerne to have Thanksgiving dinner with Bob & Molly. They are with a group of people who are all members of the Escapees RV Club , class of 07. Since that also includes us we became official members too! Bob deep fried 3 whole turkeys and 8 turkey "boobs" (as Molly calls them). Boy were they tasty. Of course all the Thanksgiving sides were there too. It was lots of fun, and we met 2 couples that will be going to the rally on Albuquerque
Around noon all six of us piled into the truck and headed for Luckenbach where we were meeting up with Bob & Molly for the day. Luckenbach is just a tiny little town that was made famous by Willie Nelson singing about it. Well, yesterday they were having a "festival". They were celebrating the return of the "MUD DAUBER". Why they would celebrate the return of a wasp I have no idea. The town consists of a dance hall, a general store with the post office and a bar. The parking lot is bigger than the town. LOL The sign says population 3 but the guy in the store said it's really only 1 now. Still there were a heck of a lot of people there yesterday. From there we were off to find the fastest armadillo in Texas. This is a fellow, named Monroe, who is one of the happiest people you will ever meet. Loves what he does and it definitely shows. He uses a dermal tool on marble and glass. Of course we were ready as we brought our own beer bottles for him to do up. He can write your names, date, Luckenbach and sketch an armadillo in less than 30 second. As it happened he was not in his shop, although the doors are open, want something, put your money in the jug. Thank you very much! But we did find him at a monthly flea market, and everyone was happy. Lots of great stuff at the market, good thing we are down sizing, but there were a few things that just had to be loaded up as gifts for some important people. From there is was off to dinner at Auslander in Fredrickburg, and it was fabulous. Next it was time to say good by to Bob & Molly. They are heading off for some time on the coast, but think that our travels will cross again come September. Looking forward to it. We so enjoy the time we spend with them.
That brings me to today, Sunday the 22nd. SHM (sweet husband of mine) and I went to Gibsons in Kerrville. It is a store like no other, they have everything that was ever made. We spent almost 2 hours in there just wandering through the entire store, and found more than a few things that I could not live with out. One of which was a pink flamingo with 8 outfits. Tell me that you are not jealous. Hey that is it for the day, week, and then some. Will post pictures when my connection is better, right now can not do.

A Wonderful Sister and Friend

Evelyn Yeakley, Chuck's wonderful sister has gone to be with her eldest daughter and sisters. We will miss her, but know the welcome she received on the other side was a wonderful joyous celebration.

What, where and when?

Like in where are we meeting next, what are the food plans and when. Yep, that has been our life the last week. We have had potlucks, appetizers dinners, baked potato smorgy, breakfast in a bag, plus there have been a few meals away from the park. I believe we have discovered eating is what we all do best!

These pictures need to be enlarged to see the detail. And it is all in the detail.
A great German Restaurant
Fredricksburg is a small German town near here, there are lots of cute shops and a wonderful place that makes sausage. We descended on it, like we were doing a swarm, luckily we had eaten before hand or we all might have just bought them out. I did find a ballerina bunny for our greatgrandaughter for her Easter basket that is absolutely precious.
Chuck has played golf once since we have been here and thought it was a pretty good course. Most days though he has been on the putting green here with Kevin. They have been up and down all week. Next week we are trying Lady Bird Johnsons course. We have friends from California coming and they want to play once, so checking the courses out.

Bob, Molly & Chuck

It has been great getting to know all these great people better. Sure that our paths will cross again.

Now this is a TRUCK!

And they take it to Wal-Mart.

Still have the ole Texas wind, but dang life is good.

There Goes Febuary!

Yep, it is in the rear view mirror. The past week seemed to fly, had to do Mexico one more time. Seems funny being as the first two months we were here did not go at all. Just did not want to take a chance, but once we tried it felt comfortable there, even though the soldiers were ever where. But so were the Winter Texans. The day before we hit the road it was sooooo hot, but just for the one day. There were so many people at the pools they were doing the "everyone under 60 OUT. Got to look out for the old folks. LOL Actually it was more like floating daiquiris watermelons, which were good! Better than good. Saying good by to all the new friends that we met was a downer, but sure that we will cross paths somewhere in the future.

Leaving Mission we faced a head wind, but not for too long. Been a long time since we were on the road, felt a little strange, but we had Willie singing full blast, and we in the travel mood real quick. And we were no alone, lots of RV's going north, but there were a few heading south.
Arrived at the Buckhorn Lake Resort, and there was this gathering just waiting. It was great seeing all those familiar faces. We did the set up hit and miss, so yesterday got to do it over again, we were really off on being level, but now all is right with our world. But there will be no complaining about the heat here, got up yesterday and the warmest place in this RV was "IN" the refrigerator. We don't like to sleep with the heat on so it was cold. The first night we went to a Mexican restaurant that was some of the best mex food I have eaten. Last night we had a bean feast, just our group, in the club house. As usual our lives revolve around food. Love it! No pictures, unless I steal some.
Life is good, windy, but we can go with the flow.

Beach, Mexico and Toilet Races

We have been on the go here the last week or so, guess because our time is running out here. So I'm going to work backwards, you know, CRS and all. Yesterday we played a golf course that we had not played before, they have a special, 15 dollars for the family, with cart, after 4. Play as much as you can, which we did, got in 14 holes, so that was great. Lots of water on this course, think there was some on almost every hole. Our regular golf group had their snack party Thursday night, and they will be winding down too. This coming one will be our last, they were a good group and fun to play with. We also had the toilet races, which were a hoot.

Sort of reminded me of backing the RV into a tight spot. One person sat of the toilet, which was mounted to a hand cart, while the other pushed, the trick was the pusher was blind folded. They just had to go a short distance, then around a traffic cone and back to the starting line. Needless some of the spectators were in danger, just like backing that RV.

We also did the beach one day and of course Mexico.

That water is COLD!

Tourist Trap

aka Gift Shop

They has so much stuff in there it was unbelievable

It was the day that they had all the trouble at the other bridge. The only one that is recommended is Progresso and that has not seen any problems as of yet. But it is a little disconcerting to see the army in a bunker in the middle of the street as you enter. But there is not shortage of shoppers, the streets are packed, and they do have some good buys. But with us there are not too many things that we need (or have room for). Did get some cute little folding tables for outside, and some tequila, but mostly just go for the fun of it. I have been enjoying the grapefruit here, they are the best that I have ever eaten, bar none. Fruit and vegetable's are very plentiful and down right cheap. We will be so spoiled. Two years ago we were up north and could not find a tomato worth eating in the middle of the summer. I stopped laughing at people who pulled out their tomato plants that they carried with them, when they were stetting up camp.

I did win at card elimination the other night, sack full of dimes, my very first win of the season, Chuck had a great winning streak for awhile, even the big one once. Being as it goes in the same pot I shouldn't be complaining now should I?
We will be leaving here next week, planning on a few days in San Antonio, then on to Kerrville, where we plan to stay for a month. Lord willing. Chuck has an appointment with his cardiologist Monday, and we will hear what he has to say. The echo that he had done showed some things that the doctor did not like, but wanted to see his records from California before making any changes. So we are keeping our fingers crossed, he is feeling fine, so that makes me sort of feel better. Course he does not always tell me the truth, soooooo, yea. Any way I'm planning on being there to hear it from the doctor myself.

Life is good, the sun is shining, and the wind is at our backs.
